Each year, EMMIR students are invited to create a video for their cohort. Edition 13—our biggest intake yet—has participated in this annual tradition.

The third semester of the European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR) marks another milestone in our students’ academic journey, as Edition 12 students complete their research reports based on project-based internships. These reports demonstrate the intellectual depth, methodological diversity, and critical engagement that define the programme.

As 2025 came to a close, many members of the EMMIR community took to LinkedIn to reflect on their year, sharing milestones, research experiences, mobility journeys, and moments of connection.

Edition 11 of EMMIR finished their journey and celebrated graduation in September 2025. We are excited to present their work in this collection of thesis abstracts, which appear in several languages.

On Sunday, September 14, the newest EMMIR cohort went on their first field trip of the semester—an eye-opening journey through the histories of East Frisia and the Emsland in northern Germany.
