Watch now: Edition 13 introduces themselves to the community

Each year during the Intensive Phase (IP) of the first semester, EMMIR students are invited to create a cohort video to be presented at the end-of-September opening ceremony. It’s a long-standing tradition: one that captures the energy, diversity, and personality of each new edition at the very start of their journey.

Edition 13 (2025–2027) took part in this tradition during their first semester in Oldenburg. Now, as they continue into their second semester, we are pleased to share their official introduction video with the wider EMMIR community.

Edition 13 is our largest cohort to date, bringing together 43 students from 23 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. We invite you to watch the video below and get to know a bit more about the cohort as a whole, and the values they will bring along with them on their EMMIR journey:

This video joins a growing archive of cohort creations over the years. While some editions have taken different creative approaches, many have embraced the Intensive Phase video as a way to mark the beginning of their shared experience.

We look forward to following Edition 13 as their journey continues.
