This month, the latest addition to the EMMIR student and alumni family joined us for their first semester in Oldenburg, Germany at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.

Edition 10 brings in 26 new students representing 19 different countries, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, including Ukraine, Brazil and China.

In January, all EMMIR students will travel to Norway and continue their studies at the University of Stavanger. After that, the group splits up and goes to one of the following Universities for their 3rd semester:

  • Ahfad University for Women in Omdurman, Sudan

  • Mbarara University of Science & Technology in Mbarara, Uganda

  • University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa

  • University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Czech Republic

  • University of Nova Gorica in Nova Gorica, Slovenia

  • Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in Calcutta, India

They will all come back to Oldenburg in December 2024 to start their master’s thesis.

Please join EMMIR in wishing the best of luck to #EMMIRE10! Congratulations all on this first step of your journey.
