EMMIR is turning 15 years old, and we’re bringing together alumni from across 13 editions for a special reunion weekend in Oldenburg! With 250+ graduates plus current students, this is more than just a trip down memory lane: it’s a chance to reconnect, exchange ideas, and help shape the future of EMMIR.

What to expect:
Reconnect with old friends & expand your professional network! Whether you graduated recently or years ago, this is a rare opportunity to meet fellow alumni, faculty, and current students in person. Meet others working in migration-related fields worldwide, exchange insights, and explore potential collaborations.
Attend a special alumni reunion programme. Alumni will have the chance to lead and participate in discussions, panels, and workshops. We’re still shaping the agenda, so reach out with your ideas!
Celebrate Edition 11 and welcome Edition 13! Attend the Edition 11 Graduation Ceremony on 05 September, and greet incoming Edition 13 students starting their first semester at UOL.
Social & networking events. Beyond formal sessions, expect plenty of time to reconnect and catch up with friends, peers, and professors in casual and social settings.
Be part of shaping EMMIR’s future. You'll have the opportunity to join a preparatory committee to shape the next funding application and the future of our programme!
While we’re covering the reunion programme costs (and some meals), travel and accommodation will be up to you. More details on the agenda will follow soon, and we’d love to hear your ideas for workshops, panels, or activities to make this a meaningful gathering!
