Cohort 7 students graduate with M.A. in Migration and Intercultural Relations

Cohort 7 students celebrate with their diplomas, holding roses

Congratulations to Cohort 7 graduates, who received their M.A. diplomas in Migration and Intercultural Relations last week at the University of Oldenburg on Friday. The group of 31 graduates consists of students from 22 countries.

"I remember our first days at the University of Oldenburg. We attended the Cohort 5 graduation in September 2017, and I couldn't believe that we would be in their shoes just two years later! This time has passed by so quickly."

- Gabriella Mikiewicz, cohort 7 graduate, U.S./Poland

"Being there at the graduation with my EMMIR family has meant more than I can express with words. 2 years of a mind-blowing life experience was about to end in a vortex of emotions. I was sad for the many goodbyes, but so proud and thankful for our great achievements. I have gained a global family...and I won my own struggle! I just couldn't be happier!"

- Rossella Fadda, cohort 7 graduate, Italy

"Meeting in Oldenburg for one last time was a rollercoaster of emotions! I was so proud and happy of our achievements, but sentimental and sad that this adventure is over. Either way I have family all around the world now, and I can’t wait to visit them."

- Siri Syverud Thorsen, cohort 7 graduate, Norway

In September 2017, Cohort 7 celebrated their opening ceremony by presenting a video they created about their cohort. Grab some tissues, because the video brought up some emotions when streamed at the graduation ceremony!
