EMMIR named 'success story' by European Commission

The European Commission has selected the European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations (EMMIR) as a "success story" based on our innovative approach and societal impact. EMMIR qualifies graduates to work in areas relating to the urgently relevant topics of migration, diversity and interculturality.

The European Commission valued EMMIR for its "impact, contribution to policy-making, innovative results and creative approach as a source of inspiration for others".

"Since 2011, EMMIR is an amazing journey. With more than 130 graduates from more than 50 countries, our students and graduates have become an emerging global network of migration professionals and scholars. We expect them to make a difference in the contested and challenging area of migration" said Lydia Potts, EMMIR Consortium Coordinator.

We want to thank all our partner universities for the excellent work: University of Stavanger (Norway), Universität Carl von Ossietzky in Oldenburg (Germany), Ahfad University for Women in Omdurman (Sudan), Mbarara University of Science and Technology (Uganda), University of Nova Gorica (Slovenia), University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic) and University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg (South Africa), as well as we are grateful to our network of students, Alumni and scholars worldwide.
