EMMIR Consortium meets in Johannesburg

Consortium members from EMMIR's 7 partner universities are currently meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa for a bi-annual consortium meeting, as well as for the selection board meeting for Cohort 9 scholarship applications.

Rubana Mussharat is one of two Cohort 8 student representatives to the consortium and is attending on behalf of current students. "The selection board meeting has been an excellent opportunity for me to learn the intricate process of selecting the new students which will be really useful for my future career," says Rubana. "The inclusion of a student representative in the consortium meeting is highly effective to bridge the gap between the student body with the decision makers."
